November 8, 2006 Marfin Financial Group announces that Mr. Efthimios Bouloutas, currently holding the position of Chief Executive Officer of Marfin Bank, has been appointed as Chief Executive Officer of Laiki Bank (Hellas). Mr. E. Bouloutas served as General Manager of EFG Eurobank Ergasias and member of the Executive Committee, Chief Executive Officer of Eurobank Asset Management and member of the BoD of EFG Private Bank Luxembourg. Additionally, he was Chief Executive Officer of Ioniki Mutual Funds Management Company S.A. and top executive of Ioniki Finance for a number of years.

Mr. George Efstratiadis, currently holding the position of Chief Executive Officer of Marfin Global Asset Management (Marfin GAM), has been appointed as Chief Executive Officer of Marfin Bank. Mr. Efstratiadis served as General Manager of the listed closed end fund "Greek Progress Fund" and top executive of Ergasias Bank.
