MARFIN FINANCIAL GROUP announces the completion of the acquisition of 9,98% of the shares of LAIKI BANK CYPRUS, following the agreement with HSBC announced on 2/2/2006. More specifically, on 6/2/2006, MARFIN FINANCIAL GROUP has purchased 30.580.000 shares (9,98% of the total) and has become the biggest shareholder of LAIKI BANK CYPRUS.
