October 22, 2009 COMPLETION OF THE VOLUNTARY RETIREMENT OF 601 EMPLOYEES UNDER THE VRS PROGRAM OF 2005-2006
Hellenic Telecommunications Organization SA (ASE: HTO, NYSE: OTE), the Greek full-service telecommunications provider announces that on September 15th, 2009, the voluntary retirement of 601 OTE employees was completed, in accordance with Law 3371/2005 and in line with the provisions of the Law 3762/2009.
This delay was due to a later resolution of the military service issue.
To meet company needs in terms of personnel, as a result of the above voluntary retirement program, OTE is recruiting 87 new employees with expertise in various fields.
