The Investor Relations Division of the MYTILINEOS Group gained three distinctions in the 2008 Investor Relations Awards, at an event organised by Capital Link with the assistance of the Athens Exchange, the Capital Market Commission, the Association of Greek Institutional Investors, the Union of Listed Companies, the Hellenic Bank Association, the Association of Members of the Athens Exchange Council (SMEHA), and other leading Greek market organisations. The event was also supported by many international organisations, such as the European Association of Institutional Investors and FTSE.

In particular, Mr Nikos Kontos, Group Investor Relations Officer of the MYTILINEOS Group, was presented with the "Best Investor Relations Officer" award, and the MYTILINEOS Group was presented with the "Best Investor Relations with Private Investors" and "Best Investor Relations with Financial Media" awards. These awards are a recognition of the Company's commitment to providing the investing community and the Media with full information updates on the Group?s evolution and growth, in a transparent and consistent manner.

The final decision was taken after a thorough procedure for the evaluation of candidates, undertaken by a Jury comprising 34 members representing a variety of market actors, including brokerage firms, mutual fund managers, foreign institutional investors and financial Media representatives.

The Group aims to continue to contribute to the further growth of the area of Investor Relations in Greece and abroad.
