October 19, 2006 Following a brief period of adversities caused by the formerly powerful Pouliadis Group, PC Systems enters a new growth course with the participation of new investors in its' share capital by 65%, 49% of which is represented by an investment scheme of the ship-owner Mr George Oikonomou, owner of DryShips listed in the NASDAQ Stock Exchange with assets of 1 billlion Euro.
Having the experience, expertise, and strong customer base as well as leading position regarding the majority of IT projects associated with the Olympic Games Athens 2004 and having participated in major infrastructure projects held in Greece, PC Systems is back again, aiming at establishing a leading position in the IT market.
Following a period of substantial restructuring and reorganization, the company managed to overcome past difficulties within a very short period of time. The new management is headed towards immediate recovery of financials, through the development in new markets, products and services.
Already since 2005 till today, PC Systems has concluded public sector projects of Euro 25 mil., including among others projects for the Ministry of Aegean, the Ministry of Transportation, the Aeronautics Information System of the Civil Aviation Service, the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Public Works etc.
At the same time, by year end, projects of Euro 15 mil. will be implemented associated with the Audit Court, the National Registry Book, the portal of the National Fire Brigade, the ASEP, the University of Athens, the Hellenic Tourism Organization, the General Secretariat of Research and Information etc while the company participates in public tenders of Euro 60 mil.
With regard to the private sector, active customers exceed 7,500 while the company also retains a large number of maintenance and support contracts with major clients of the Industrial, Construction Sector, Banking Sector etc, proving the company's consistency and customer trust.
PC SYSTEMS is active in the Systems Integration area. The company's core activities focus on the design, distribution, support, training and maintenance of information systems, the provision of advanced technology services to the information technology and telecommunications sectors, the systems integration and the development of business software.
